JUNIORS AND DOUBLES CHAMPIONSHIPS Please find attached the entry form for the 2007 BRISBANE JUNIORS AND
DOUBLES CHAMPIONSHIPS to be held on Saturday 17 March 2007. ENTRIES
CLOSE ON FRIDAY 9 MARCH 2007. We have been lucky enough to secure the Arena, Sleeman
Sports Complex for this tournament. This is the venue that was purpose
built for badminton and used for the 1982 Commonwealth Games. Junior Events - Singles events will be offered in the following age
groups - Under 13, Under 15, Under 17 and Under 19/21. No separate
junior doubles events will be offered in this tournament. Juniors are
encouraged to play their grade in the respective doubles events. Doubles Events Ladies doubles, Mens Doubles and Mixed
Doubles events will be offered in B Grade, C Grade and D Grade. In
A/Open Grade (2 open players can not play together) mens and ladies doubles will be offered and there will be
separate A Mixed doubles and Open Mixed doubles events. Masters Doubles
events will also be offered in A/Open, B Grade and C Grade. There are also discounts for those players playing 3 events. To participate in this tournament you must be a current member of the
Qld Badminton Association. Ask your local
Association how to join. We look forward to

Brisbane Doubles
Championships Please find attached the entry form for the Brisbane Doubles
Championships 2006 to be conducted on Monday 27 November and Monday 4
December. This entry form is also available on the Brisbane
website www.brisbanebadminton.org. Entries close on
Monday 20 November 2006. This tournament will be conducted at Sunnybank Hills
State School, Symons Road, Sunnybank
Hills. Fields in any event will be limited to a maximum of 8 pairs (that will
be split into two groups). To ensure you get to play in your preferred
events please email your entry of what you are wishing to play ASAP. Entries
can also be paid in cash on Monday 13 November or Monday 20 November 2006 (
from 7.00 – 10.30 pm) or on Sunday junior coaching on Sunday 12 or 19
November 2006 at Sunnybank Hills State School (from 12.45 – 4.45 pm). Alternatively you can fix your entry fee up by faxing your credit card
details through, advising me to charge a credit card that you have already
supplied for one of the Brisbane conducted tournaments in 2006 (City of
Brisbane Championshiops, Team Event or Qld Open) or
sending through a cheque to the address on the entry form. In order to
play in this tournament you must be a member of Qld Badminton Association or
another State Association. On behalf of the Brisbane Badminton Association Inc I would also like

Championships to be conducted on the 3 December. This
entry form will also be available on the Brisbane and Qld websites from
tomorrow. Entries close on Friday 24 November 2006. Please do not hesitate to send this entry form to other players that

Event Draw Thank you all
for supporting the Badminton Team Events to be held on the
weekend. A special thank you to those that organised a team or
teams. The location of the Team Event is: The Arena, Sleeman Sports Complex, Tilley
Road, Chandler Attached is a spreadsheet recording the teams in each event, the draw
and format. All games will be played one game
to 31 points. All players are requested to be at the venue 15 minutes
prior to the starting time and be ready to play. On arrival in hall the
team captains are to report to the table to organize the game
sheets. The venue will be open 30 minutes prior to the starting time for the
day eg Saturday 8.15 am and Sunday 8.30 am.
Remember on Sunday you will need to leave a little extra time to get into the
hall due to the markets. A small proshop with sports clothing,
badminton shoes, rackets & accessories will be set up in the venue for
your convenience. If you are after something specific please let me

Teams Event Please find attached the entry form for the 2006 Teams Event to be
held on the Saturday 7th and 8 October 2006. ENTRIES CLOSE ON THE 29
SEPTEMBER 2006. All team events will be completed on the dates advertised
(i.e. on one day). We have been lucky enough to secure the Arena, Sleeman Sports Complex for this tournament. This is the
venue that was purpose built for badminton and used for the 1982 Commonwealth
Games and at the time of the tournament will have 6 courts in the Arena. Team compositions and the different events can be found on the front
cover of the entry form. You can organize a team from a club or individuals
from a variety of clubs. We look forward to seeing you at this event. It would be greatly
appreciated if you could also provide this entry form to others that may be

Brisbane Badminton Championships Please find attached the entry form for the 2006 City of Brisbane
Badminton Championships. We have been lucky enough to secure the Arena, Sleeman Sports Complex for this tournament. This is the
venue that was purpose built for badminton and used for the 1982 Commonwealth
Games and at the time of the tournament will have 6 courts in the Arena. The second page of the entry form shows what events will be scheduled
on which days. All games to events will be completed on the dates advertised. This provides you with an opportunity to play even if you are only
available one day. There are some incentive prizes available if you are playing AT LEAST
3 events and get your ENTRY AND PAYMENT IN BY 11 MAY 2006 (THE CLOSING DATE)
AS FOLLOWS: Draws 1st Prize - Carlton or Epsilon/Fleet badminton products to the value
of $70 2nd Prize - Sfida sportswear to the value of

Tournament Draw 5 March 2006 Click on the link below to get your
copy of the draw for the 2006 Brisbane Juniors and Doubles Tournament. Please note, for D and E Grade
Matches please go to page 8 of this document. All D and E Grade events will be played 1 to 21 points without
setting, using the traditional scoring system. These events will be run on
the Warm-up Courts at the Sleeman Sports Centre,
Tilley Rd, Chandler. Finals will only be played where there is 2 or more
groups and will be 1 to 21 points without setting All other events will be played 1 to 31 points using the new rally
points scoring. Finals will only be played where there is 2 or more groups
and will be 1 to 31 points without setting Players need to be ready 15 minutes prior to the advertised start time
of their match. Please note, the markets will be on at the Sleeman
Centre, so please allow an additional 15 minutes to get to the tournament. Those players who need to arrange a QBA
membership, please come to the desk prior to your scheduled match. The Brisbane Badminton Association
would like to thank SunStar Embroidery Pty Ltd for
their generous sponsorship of this event. The Arena will be open only from
7:45am. |

25/2/06 - Entry
Numbers Massive The Brisbane Badminton Association will be undertaking its first
tournament for the year next Sunday, 5th March 2006. Entry numbers for the
tournament are 135 players, which will be the largest for a single day
tournament. The tournament will be conducted using the new Rally Point scoring system currently being trialed in international events. It will also be used as a trial hit out for the Quensland
U17 team, as they prepare for the June Bevan Champioships
and Australasian U17 Championships to be held in Perth in April. Spectators feel free to come along for a look.

Tournament to be held on BRISBANE DOUBLES TOURNAMENT 2005 to be held on
Saturday 10 December 2005. This tournament is the last tournament for 2005
that the Brisbane Badminton Association is running. Events in this tournament are A/Open (two Open players may not play
together), B Grade, C Grade, D Grade and E Grade. In A/Open Grade, B Grade
and C Grade there are also Masters events. We have been lucky enough to secure the Arena, Sleeman
Sports Complex for this tournament. This is the venue that was purpose built
for badminton and used for the 1982 Commonwealth Games. FOR THIS TOURNAMENT WE ARE PROUDLY SUPPORTED BY SUN STAR EMBROIDERY
PTY LTD. We thank them very much for their support (which helps ensure events
such as this can be run in the Sleeman Sports
Complex). For players playing 3 EVENTS AND GET THEIR ENTRY AND PAYMENT IN BY
Wednesday 30 NOVEMBER 2005 there are three prizes on offer. These are as follows: 1st Prize Draw - Yonex Racket Case (Model
724) 2nd Prize Draw - Epsilon Racket Case (10 Racket size) 3rd Prize Draw - Yonex Playing Shirt There are also discounts for those players playing 3 events. To participate in this tournament you must be a current member of the
